ABOUT THE ARTIST

Taryn has been creating art her entire life, and emerged onto the art scene 15 years ago to exhibit in galleries. Her works are available at the Monica Graham Fine Art Gallery (Carmel, CA), The Greater Victoria Art Gallery (AGGV), Gallery 8 on Salt Spring, and The Housse in Victoria, BC. She competes in juried shows (and won The Award of Excellence) at the Federation of Canadian Artists on Granville Island in Vancouver. Taryn has collections across Canada and the U.S., in the UK, Switzerland, Australia and Taiwan. She has been featured in: Homes & Living Magazine, The Times Colonist, Where Magazine, Focus Magazine, BC Art Educator's Magazine, The Daily, and has auctioned several paintings for organizations like the Indian Residential School Survivors Society.

Taryn’s minimalist interdisciplinary artworks are compositional and textural explorations of line and form. Her work is based upon the relationship between light and shadow, and she chooses different mediums or ‘languages’ to transport you through her use of sensual mediums like porcelain, gold leaf, silk, oil and mineral.
